The sense of tics:
Sometimes the appearance of a tic can become the focus of attention during a social gathering. These movements, by virtue of their sometimes abruptly are considered “bad habits” that must be corrected. However, many tics are associated with feelings of shame and guilt about “doing things Malaysian by the anguish of not being able to avoid making the gesture or movement.
In this sense, tics express different aspects of the child’s emotional world. For this reason, the analysis of these must be accompanied by an understanding of their own history. Moreover, the tick may present as a form of identification, if there is any parent who has or has had, and therefore can become a form of unconscious learning related to the process of establishing the identity of the child. Otherwise, the appearance of the tic might betray the time of emergence of a psychological conflict.
Thus, the tics acquire the value of a symptom, because they reveal the existence of a
emotional conflict in the body a means of expression. Before, they were considered organic problems, and were treated through pharmacological or educational media.
