Effective Against Dengue

A group of scientists from the Viral Immunology Laboratory of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute of Brazil claims to have demonstrated, the work has been published in International Immunopharmacology “immunomodulating and antiviral activity of Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentosa) in human monocytes infected Dengue-2 virus. This plant-own the jungles of the Amazon and Central America, widely used as medicine by the Indians for centuries-had previously been other studies, confirming their immunomodulatory properties, antiinflammatory, cytotoxic and antioxidant.
